VBS

Look at that sweet smile! He is such a happy baby. I am so blessed to have such wonderful children. Thank you God for my gifts! To hear Max sing Jesus loves me, melts my heart.

I looked in on Max's VBS class and snapped this picture.

Max and Slade enjoying the playground before the last night of VBS began.

Max's first performace! But he didn't perform. He was more interested in diving off the stage.

Max and Slade were having fun in the kitchen this morning:)

Today was a very fun day! Playing at home, a suprise visit from Nanna, fun at the church playground, then VBS. I have 2 tired boys!

Summer Fun

Having a few days off to spend with the family was wonderful. Max has been dying to "do the jumpy thing" so we decided that he was finally big enough for the euro bungy at the Jefferson Mall. He was so excited. It was difficult to take the pics with him moving so fast, but check out that smile. I dont think we will ever be able to walk past it again.

We also visited the Splash Park at the Louisville Zoo this week with some friends. The boys love their zoo pass. Max loves the "water playground". We stayed there for 6 hours!!!!

The UofL playground is always a hit. We played there while Daddy had his graduate school interview. We are so proud of Daddy! Doesn't he look handsome in his shirt and tie.

We're Back!

Ok. So it has been a while. Sorry!! I finally got a new camera! Yay! I have been wanting one that would fit in my purse so it would be available at all times for those perfect moments. Thanks to my birthday and birthday money, (and a sale at Best Buy) I finally have it. Enjoy the pictures from today.

SNOW!!!

Max loves snow!!! I bought him a snow suit yesterday evening, and he wont take it off! So tonight Nathan was determined to find a sled to buy. I laughed at him! then politely told him it would be impossible to find a sled for purchase at this stage of the game. He was determined. So he came back from the store with a camping mat to make a temporary sled. After Max made cookie dough with Mimi, Max, Daddy and Grandaddy went out to sled. The cookie dough was chillin in the fridge while the boys were chillin outside. Here is a video of the sledding. Sorry for the darkness, it is just dark outside.

KK, here is a picture of the train cookies that Max and Mimi are making tonight! Thank you for the cookie cutters!!!

Slade's 1 year Pictures

Okay, so I finally broke down and took Slade to get his 1 year pictures made. I vowed that I would do the same for Slade as I did for Max, but it is very difficult! Hey, but atleast I am trying. Here are a few of the poses. I don't have the patience to upload them all. :)

Snow Day!

Max loves snow! When he woke up this morning, we told him that it had snowed. He immediately went to the front door, opened and when he looked outside he said "i need my boots on". He then went to find his Thomas the Train snow boots and put them on. He then said " i put my boots on all by myself. I can go outside now." Of course, I being the awful mother than I am, said "you have to eat breakfast first" which caused a major melt down in the middle of the living room floor. Crocodile tears flowed and the repeated " I just wanna play in the snow" "I need to shovel". Knowing that Granddaddy would let him play in the snow, he kept asking " can I go to Granddaddy's house?" after visiting with friends and going to the store, we finally made it to Granddaddy's house and guess what, he finally got to play in the snow. Max wanted to shovel something (he is such a little helper) so he and Granddaddy went to shovel an elderly lady's drive. Max is such the little giver and I hope that he continues to have a heart for others as he continues to grow. I ask God each day to help us raise him to love God and others.

Baby Slade doesn't particularly care for the cold weather. He has had a runny nose, etc for a couple of days so we have been trying to keep him indoors. His skin is so sensitive, his cheeks are chapped from just being outside for a minute. Tonight, he ate potato soup and loved it! He is getting to be so big and do "big boy" things.

It is so wonderful to be at home with them a few days each week. So "Quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep, I am playing with my babies and babies dont keep" !

Slade's Birthday is quickly approaching :(

Slade's new trick is to clap his hands. It makes him very happy to do this. He also pays attention to the television and when someone on the show claps, he joins in. Too cute!

It dawned on me today, that "oh my gosh! Slade will be 1 in less than a month!" How did the time pass so fast? My life is so wonderful and I am so blessed with an awesome family. Here are a few pictures that I took today. Isn't he cute !?!

OK OK

Max loves to open presents. His and everyone elses too!

Baby Slade is a bit larger in his stocking than Max was on his first Christmas.

Ok, so I have not been keeping up very well. I am vowing to do better. Here are a few pictures from Christmas and the snow. There are more pictures that I would like to add, but I haven't gotten them from aunt k.k. yet. Will try to add more soon.
